Instructor’s Institute Release of Liability

IN CONSIDERATION of being permitted to participate in the AWS Instructors Institute, for myself, my personal representatives, assigns, heirs, and next of kin:

1. I Acknowledge, agree, and represent that I fully understand the nature of the AWS Instructors Institute, including the fact that welding will be performed; that I am skilled in welding and know the risks involved and how to avoid those risks through safe practices; that I will at all times strictly adhere to all applicable safe practices; that I expressly assume any risk of harm; that I am qualified and have the necessary skills and judgment, and am in good health, and in proper physical, mental, and emotional condition to participate in this activity.

2. I hereby release and discharge the American Welding Society, its directors, agents, officers, members, volunteers, and employees from all liability, claims, causes of action, demands, losses expenses, or damages resulting from or related to any harm, including personal injury or death, cause or alleged to be cause in whole or in part by acts or omissions of such persons, or any of them, in connection with the AWS Instructors Institute.

I HAVE READ THIS AGREEMENT, FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS, UNDERSTAND THAT I HAVE GIVEN UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS BY SIGNING IT AND HAVE SIGNED IT FREELY AND WITHOUT ANY INDUCEMENT OR ASSURANCE OF ANY NATURE AND INTEND IT TO BE COMPLETE AND UNCONDITIONAL RELEASE OF ALL LIABILITY TO THE GREATEST EXTEND ALLOWED BY LAW AND AGREED THAT IF ANY PORTION OF THIS AGREEMENT IS HELD TO BE INVALID THE BALANCE, NOT WITHSTANDING, SHALL CONTINUE IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT.
