Circuit

A closed path that allows for the flow of electricity. For example, when arc welding in the DCEP mode, the electrical current originates in the power source and flows through the workpiece lead. When the electrode tip is positioned near the workpiece, the arc is created across the gap, closing the circuit and allowing the current to flow back to the welding machine through the electrode and electrode lead.
