Pipe Welding Conference 2020

Pipe Welding Conference 2020

The Future is NOW!

SEPTEMBER 29-30, 2020
Charlotte, North Carolina

Innovative Products • Processes • Practices

Greetings Industry Giants!
Welcome to our NEW Reality!

Your American Welding Society is excited to present a two-day seminar on all aspects of Pipe Welding. This seminar has been designed to help you, your welding team mates, and your customers take advantage of technology’s developments across a broad spectrum of industries and applications. Attendees will see what’s new, what’s innovative, what others are doing, and most importantly, what’s available for your use right now. In these changing times, the pace of business will be accelerated and having the right tools will be essential in this new post-pandemic construction environment. Not only to compete, but to prosper.

The future you have been waiting for is here today.

In order to be more competitive, many are using this time to look back, evaluate what worked, what didn’t, and what needs to be changed. As we retool and gear up for the world’s pipe welding requirements, let’s all take advantage of developments our industry has made to maintain global leadership, self-sufficiency, while aspiring to the highest levels of Quality, Safety and Value.

Some of you were forced to lay-off or furlough your most knowledgeable, experienced, or skilled workers. When we go back to work, who is going to do all of the work? Those with many years of your company’s cultural experience, special training, or with advanced skills may decide not to return to YOUR company, or maybe they have moved on to other industries. Regardless, you won’t have the pool of talent to call upon when you are ready to tackle the next job. This applies to engineers, job superintendents, welders, QA personnel, and the skilled crafts.

It’s time to rethink how you and your company will do business in this altered climate. It is time to explore new processes, procedures, and practices that have been developed and proven, but maybe not utilized in the past, because of the attitude; “We have always done it this away!”

Our presenters will share their knowledge of the most reliable time saving (man hours) progressive procedures, processes, and practices in industry today. Each speaker will bring his/her “A” game to share with you and your team, hopefully giving ideas of how to implement one or more of these “ideas” into your company’s business strategy plan for upcoming business.

There is no substitution for experience, but sometimes we can use new tools to make the job easier given limitations we face in our particular situations. Think about it!

Make your reservations now and take advantage of the early bird special. See you in Charlotte in September.

Thank You,
The Organizing Committee

In addition to the educational aspect, these conferences have allowed QA/QC management, Welding Engineers, and Sr. Welding personnel a chance to meet and discuss common industry challenges. These Symposiums have included some of our industry’s leading authorities sharing their experience and wisdom pertaining to the betterment of our welding industry. As a bonus, PDH credit hours have been awarded to the participants.

In addition, by request, Mr. Stoll has developed and presented specialized training seminars to a number of engineering companies and their staffs for Petro-Chemical Companies, Refineries, and Power Producers, as well as their fabricators. These presentations were tailored to the customer’s specific requirements, from basic stick electrode knowledge, to the effects of post weld heat treating of Chrome-Molly steels, to the use of drones in field inspection.
