Shipbuilding Conference 2017

This year, during the 10th Shipbuilding Conference, make sure to reserve your space for a tour of Portland-based Vigor Shipyard. The tour will cover the 60-acre facility an will explore vessels for repair, fabrication projects, and dedicated paint shops for blasting and coating. Also covered during the tour is the largest floating dry dock in the US. Known as Vigorous, this massive structure measures 960’ long and 114’ wide and has a capacity of 80,000 LT. Also included in the tour is a visit to an onsite training facility featuring a public-private partnership with Portland Community College to create a Maritime Welding Cohort Program.
