International Thermal Spray Association, an Industry Partner of the American Welding Society, is a professional industrial association dedicated to expanding the use of thermal spray technologies for the benefit of industry and society. The association is closely interwoven with the history of thermal spray development. Founded in 1948 as “Metallizing Service Contractors,” the International Thermal Spray Association has been closely tied to virtually all major advances in thermal spray technology, equipment and materials, industry events, education, standards, and market development in North and South America.
