Stress Relaxation Cracking Testing and PWHT of Superalloys for Power Plant Construction

David C. Tung (The Ohio State University) presents his research on various superalloys (Super 304H, Inconel 740, Haynes 282, etc.) that are used in power plant construction. Because high-efficiency/low-emission power generation relies on the ability of these metals to withstand remarkably intense conditions, Mr. Tung’s lecture focuses specifically on Post-weld heat treatment and stress relaxation cracking testing.
